Do I need a doctor's referral to start physical therapy?
In most cases, you can begin physical therapy without a doctor’s referral. However, some insurance plans may require one for coverage. To ensure a smooth process, we recommend checking with your insurance provider or reaching out to us for assistance.
What can I expect during my first visit?
During your first visit, our licensed physical therapist will conduct an initial assessment tailored to your needs. This will include a thorough review of your medical history, an evaluation of your current condition, a discussion of your goals, and the creation of a customized treatment plan to guide your journey to recovery.
How long will each session last, and how often will I need to come?
Each session will typically last either 45 or 60 minutes depending on your specific needs, the complexity of your diagnosis and the treatment plan.
Can physical therapy help with my specific condition, such as chronic pain or sports injuries?
Physical therapy can effectively address conditions like chronic pain and sports injuries by targeting the root causes through personalized treatment plans. By combining techniques such as manual therapy, exercise, and education, it helps reduce pain, restore function, and support long-term recovery.
