What is a Superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt you can send to your insurance. It shows what services you received and what you paid. You can:

  • Apply the amount to your deductible

  • Be reimbursed directly if your deductible is already met

Why This Helps You Save

  • Insurance companies often discount payments to providers, forcing clinics to raise prices. We skip that step—you pay less

  • If you won’t meet your deductible, you get excellent care at a lower flat rate

  • If you meet your deductible, you can likely still count your payment toward it or get reimbursed

How to Use Your Superbill

  1. Schedule your appointment.

  2. Call your insurance to ask:
    • “Does my plan cover Out-of-Network Private Practice Physical Therapy?”
    • “Can what I pay count toward my deductible?”

  3. After your visit, submit your superbill via:
    • Mail
    • Fax
    • Online submission

We offer walkthroughs for major carriers like Blue Cross MN and Medica—and we’re happy to help with others, too.

What If It’s Denied?

Don’t panic. Insurance companies often auto-deny first submissions. This can usually be fixed with a correction or a resubmission. In rare cases, we can help you appeal or escalate to the MN Department of Commerce.
